We decided to go lighter in the kitchen, since the cabinets are brown wood, the floors are brown cork, and the countertops are brownish laminate:

paint, paint, paint and more paint
The main reason we haven't been posting a whole bunch of new photos is paint. The trim is taking 3 coats to cover (which is probably why the color is called Wicked), and the taupe took two. Photos in between coats just aren't that exciting!
