Kitchen Demodel

Well, we started the kitchen demo yesterday and made some huge headway this morning. I was calling it a Mini-Remodel; but looking at it now it's more of a demodel of a mini-kitchen. This looks like there was a horrible accident:

Note the bucket under the water facucets: the nozzle fails to totally shut the water off there: Jason's at Lowe's now buying a new one.

Oh, and NO MORE CARPET IN THE CUPBOARDS!

Here's the kitchen side of the closed doorway, we're keeping it open for now so the electrician can do his magic. Nice framing huh? We did that!

And the present state of the cabinets: you see the top left? We accidentally pulled up some of the plaster off of the lath.

Here's the living room side of the doorway we closed--post-drywall, pre-mud. The living room looks SOOO much more even with it closed now. We're going to be making built-ins to put on either side of the fireplace.
